Google Chromecast vs. Amazon Fire TV…and Slippers

Android Authority: Google Chromecast vs Amazon Fire TV
This is a nice video comparison put together by Android Authority comparing the Chromecast and Fire TV. I already have the Chromecast which has been nice to have which I pair with my Nexus 7, my tablet that’s just dedicated to just playing media. I’ll just stick with my $30 Chromecast vs the $100 for the Fire TV.

Happy Feet slippers
I saw this on Shark Tank today. I want these giraffe slippers! I have no idea when I’d actually wear them though.

Diet Cokes and Cats

I really have no interest in cats aside from the 1 clip that I posted. But yes, I had a Diet Coke recently. I’ve been on a recent binge on Cherry Coke Zero, and the Diet Coke was the closest thing to it at the time though truthfully it made me miss outings at food trucks.

I saw a picture that reminds me of a foot bone spur. It’s so angry! From Family Guy.

Shaming: Ever Date a Hipster Who Thought She Was a Cat?

My reference to Clarity was when it was played at the Flux Pavilion show, and eeeeveryone was singing along except somebody. LOL It’s not embarrassing to be recognized in a crowd by someone, even if that person runs a food stand. All that means is I’m a regular. What’s embarrassing is…

Where do I even start? Sometimes when she’d be a little too hyper, I’d throw her childhood blankie at her, and she’d become completely distracted and paw at it as if it was a ball of yarn. Shower optional. She’d lick her thumbs then rub any dirty spots on her face though sometimes with a napkin. Sometimes. Lice in the hair. She’d stare at her comb which was her sign to comb her hair. On rainy days, the water would just bead off her hair leaving her head completely dry these days. Mind blown. Like any cat, definitely hates water, prefers a Diet Coke. When she tries to reach for something that’s high on a shelf, she lets out a “rawr.” Eats then goes back to sleep.

Throwback Thursday…Sorta…Not Really

Alright, so ever since I got your e-mail, I’ve checked Mc these last few days though I forgot how dreary it is there. Here’s Axwell’s remix of In My Mind. Now if this was the 1st time, a few things happened in these few minutes including the kiss, boob grab, and how I turned to you and said, “Eeeeeverybody knows the words to this song. There’s more than 5 miiiillion hits on YouTube.” Ya know, 1st this…then Clarity a month later when again “Eeeeeverybody knows the words to this song…everybody!”

Un-built San Francisco

I believe Daniel Bunham sketched all of the following pictures. He was invited to the city in 1904 to give some ideas on a makeover. Fortunately for us, the 1906 earthquake got rid of most of his proposals of his visions of SF as a utopia.

AthenaeumTwinPeaks1905

The Athenaeum at Twin Peaks proposed in 1905. Can you imagine this Greek inspired monument at Twin Peaks? It makes you wonder who that statue was supposed to be. If it were built, it’d probably be a dirty, broken relic after the 1906 earthquake.

amphitheaterColeValley1905

Vast amphitheater in Cole Valley proposed in 1905. This would’ve probably been torn down by now. It’s a good thing Kezar Stadium was built in the 1920s in the same area.

elevatedtrainsMarketSt1937

Elevated trains on Market St proposed in 1937. This has clusterfuck written all over it. There are street cars on the raised area and at street level in this picture.

SOMAparkingstructure1947

SOMA parking structure spanning 5 blocks proposed in 1947. If this pile of concrete was built, I can only imagine how bad the traffic would be in the area since it covers so much area and blocks 5 streets. The current Yerba Buena Garage is plenty big and overs a city block.

NewSutroBathsIndoorBeach1934

New Sutro Baths Indoor Beach proposed in 1934. Assuming this would be where the old Sutro Baths was, if it were still around, couples everywhere wouldn’t have a romantic walk along the cliffs that they enjoy today.
